The Girl

I am a South African girl that loves waking up to find i still have another hour to sleep, rainy days, and huddling under a blanket with a good book and a cup of coffee. I used to drive a 1964 cream beetle, which was an absolute classic, her name was Daisy and I am so sad that I sold her. But driving a car that’s doors don’t lock and that often breaks down is not a good idea in Africa.

I am a dance instructor and choreographer at Studio of Motion (my Studio). Dancing is what makes me happy. Dancing is like dreaming with your feet and i believe that one can dance anywhere even if it’s only with your heart. As Martha Graham said, “Dance is the hidden language of the soul.”

Another weakness i have is shoes. No woman can have enough pairs of shoes! This is a statement that I find myself constantly arguing with my dad and my boyfriend Matt. But, being a woman, I am always correct and they simply cannot win.

Then there is Matt, the love of my life. He is so amazing to me and a wonderful gentleman. He is the one that makes me laugh when i can only cry and makes me smile when i am down.

The Blog

This blog is about me and my life. This blog is to give everyone an idea of what i am getting up to as that seems to be a problem as some find quote; “It feels like you have fallen off the face of the earth”.

I have decided to theme the days of my blog and add extras in between as I feel fit.

Monday Fun Day: Here I will share recipes for delicious food and overall thoughts of what I expect (and have to do) in the week to come. I will also share my favourite things.

Tuesday Shoe Day: This is the day where I will discuss shoes, clothing, fashion and home decor. I love these things and having a day dedicated just to them is a must have on my blog.

Wordless Wednesday: As sometimes people run out of words, I will use Wednesdays to display pictures and photographs that I love.

News Worthy Thursday: My favourite part of the news is the fillers. The parts that are only in the news because they are ludicrous, the parts that are in the news because they are odd. I will share the best filler news of the week on Wednesdays.

Media Friday: I will use Fridays to share songs, movies, adverts, books, tv shows, and websites that i am currently interested in.

Google it Saturday: On Saturdays I will go to google, chose the first word of a letter of the alphabet that I can think of and hit “I’m Feeling Lucky”. I will do this in Alphabetical order too. I will then share the results and my thoughts on these results here.

WOW! I will do my best to keep up the posts and try to do this regularly. I would also appreciate comments on your thoughts during this weekly process of mine. Please also feel free to share your favourite movies, songs, etc as well as interesting news, stunning fashion, and goals you set for yourself.
