#Things You Never Knew…
This page will be updated as I think of new things you never knew about me.
1. I was born 12 October, 1988 at 8pm.
2. I love stationary
3. I love Cat Stevens and know he changed his name to Yusuf Islam, but don’t know why.
4. Daisy’s are my favorite flower…and it’s the name of my car!
5. I don’t understand fax machines…like hello, it’s called e-mail
6. I don’t like the window seat, I much prefer the isle, but I love looking out the window and taking photo’s.
7. I always judge a book by it’s cover and I can’t help it.
8. I have had blisters that covered the whole ball of both my feet from playing netball barefoot (the teacher forced me). I had to have laser therapy to heal them.
9. I still love Barbies. I can’t help it. I have also saved all of my Barbies and Barbie stuff for my daughter one day (I decided to do this when I was six and have insisted on it ever since). They take up a lot of space.
10. I don’t like to send sms’s in short form…it just feels wrong and disrespectful, although I don’t mind sending sms’s in short form when it’s Afrikaans.
11. I don’t like goodbye’s and always feel awkward doing them.
12. Sex and the City along with Glimore Girls are my favorite TV programs. I want the box sets so badly.
13. If I see something I really like (for me or someone else) I really can’t help but buy it, even if I don’t have any money.
14. I much prefer giving gifts than receiving. I’m working on the receiving part (love getting them but not always too sure how to say thank you properly).
15. When my dog (Grishko) yawns she sticks her tongue out and I can’t resist but to hold it between my thumb and pointing finger.
16. I wear perfume every day. I can’t stand cheap aerosol cans of deodorant…I refuse to wear them.
17. Some doctor said I am clinically depressed although I think he’s talking crap.
18. I like to wrap my arms around my pillow when I sleep.
19. I love the pips in tomatoes.
20. I trust people way too much.
21. I always forgive and give second, third, fourth, fifth…too many extra chances.
22. I always play with my hair. It’s the most relaxing thing for me…apparently it’s contagious too. A girl I dance with started playing with her hair too after watching me and can’t help herself anymore.
23. I wish I never stopped doing Ballet.
24. My favorite place in the world is St Petersburg in Russia. As said by Tsar Alexander “St Petersburg is the gate to the West”.
25. I feel a lot more confident when my underwear matches.
26. When I’m on my own I can’t help but make up fictional stories that often land up making me cry.
27. When I was 15 I got my tongue pierced secretly. I had it pierced for 1 month before my mom found out and made me remove it. I still have the scar!
28. The one thing that I always notice about people are their noses. I love big noses for some reason.
29. Instead of going to my matric dance I went to Italy to dance. I still want my dress. I have never been able to go to any other special occasion where I can wear anything as fancy (that’s all I regret).
30. I would pick a rainy day over sunshine any day of the year.
31. I love watching movies…I don’t mind staying home on a Friday or Saturday night as long as I have good movies to watch.
32. I love art that looks like a nursery school child drew/painted it.
33. I love Disney and want all the classic Disney movies to add to my DVD collection.
34. I love receiving handwritten letters.
35. I adore surprises as long as I don’t know there is a surprise for me…because it kills me to know.
36. My favourite dance moves are Pique turns, switch leaps, develope kicks and jazz splits.
37. I love listening to Matt singing in the shower. It makes me happy.
38. I love wearing heels but I hate being taller than everyone…I feel like a giant.
39. I named my first dog after Cinderella’s step sister (Gisella) as I would have been jealous if her name was Cinderella.
40. My dream was to have tiny feet like Cinderella, and I’m stuck with an average size 6 (not tiny).
41. Mornings are not my favorite!
42. Kate Bush has been my favorite artist since I was 3. I thought she was a fairy.
43. I am not naturally flexible. I work hard at it. Being able to split is not easy for me.
44. Video blogging is what I really want to do.
45. I can do special effects make-up. My favorite is nose putty but I find it extremely difficult to work with.
46. I am an only child.
47. I love the smell of Library books.
48. I absolutely LOVE coffee.
49. I love Sushi way more than I love coffee. I could eat it every day.
50. Every closet, drawer, curtain and door must be completely closed before I can fall asleep.I am a little scared of the dark.
51. The month before my birthday I get extremely excited and I count down the sleeps to go. The day of my birthday I am normally extremely sad.
52. I love leaving voice mails, but hate the sound of my own voice.
53. I don’t know my licence plate number.
54. I can’t help but judge a book by it’s cover.
55. My dog Grishko is named after a Russian Pointe (ballet) shoe.
56. I am facinated by the magic tricks where swords get stuck through people in boxes. I would love to be in one of those boxes.
57. I can’t stand the feeling of certain materials.
58. I love water with mint and lemon in it.
59. It really hurts when I don’t hear from friends I really care about.
60. Even though I don’t show it often, I do care!
61. My mom had cancer, and I was completely in denial. Whenever asked how she was doing I would always reply ‘great!’.
